Hermanas Hit Bangkok: High End Seafood with Thai Gay Martha Stewart

My little sister (chosen) Hermanita Jason, met Mr X. and I in Bangkok. Hermanas do Thailand!  We brought him with us when we met our friend Ta-Karb. He's a local celebrity and food stylist. Think Gay, Thai meets Martha Stewart. He took us to a high end fancy seafood place. This is Thai with a heavy Chinese influence. The food was delicious and super yummy. Especailly good was the oyster omelet and the tom yum goong. Lord have mercy we porked out!

Special thanks to Ta-Karb for being such a great friend and taking us to a restaurant we never would have found on our own.

90 Acres - Home Grown Goodness - High End NJ Chic

Fancy dinner for the department christmas dinner. Delicious home grown ingredients.

Qin Dynasty: Parsippany NJ Yum Cha or Dim Sum

We love dim sum on the weekends. This place isn't the best but hits the spot.

Rutt's Hot Dog Hut

A New Jersey institution that doesn't disappoint. The hot dogs with home made relish are to die for.

Blossom Vegan Restaurant : Chelsea, NYC

Spent a week in NYC for a company convention. On my free night, I met my high school friend for dinner. She's vegetarian so I asked her where she would like to eat. we ended up at the vegan Blossom Restaurant in Chelsea. Not my cup of tea. I should have known better. I am not a fan of American vegetarian. Indian I love. Chinese I love. Thai I love. But... American no no no.

Hwang Bu Ja Soondubo: Korean Tofu Soup

Spare ribs were perfect. The tofu soup appropriately spicy. I didn't care much for the vegetarian bi bim bop - Korean rice dish. The stringy fancy mushrooms got caught in my teeth and Mr X. kept offering me toothpicks then a fancy tooth cleaner thing once we got to the car. This place still rocks - just not the vegetarian crap.

South Indian Sweets: Parsippany, NJ

I'll have to update with the name of this place at a later date. It's a vegan South Indian fast food and sweet shop next to the Korean tofu soup place we fancy. It just opened on Route 46 in Parsippany. YUM and YUM. We bought assorted sweets to try. My dad used to bring us back similar stuff when he went on business trips to India. We also ordered some samosas to go. They were spicy and delicious!

The Clay Oven: Tandoor Cooking In Ledgewood

After picking apples for apple sauce with our friend Dan, we headed to one of the only Asian options in our neck of the woods. We went to the Clay Oven. We ordered a fish curry, eggplant curry (to die for) and a a chicken curry. We left satisfied. Not the most authentic, but hits the spot when we aren't in the mood for a long drive.

Florida: Fish Tacos, Conch Fritters

While on business - a quick 23 hour trip to Florida - a colleague reccommended this place. I ordered conch fritters and Salmon fish tacos. The fritters were delicious and fresh. The taco was yum.  I will have to dig for the name of this place.

Groupon Gone Bad

Hermanas in Texas: Torta Cubana - La Virgincita Me Ama.

I was lucky enough to see my Hermanita Jason on a business trip to Dallas, Texas. He took me out for some real Mexican. Praise the Lord!  I am so sick of Mexi-can't food (fake "mexican" food that I can't eat because it is so disgusting.).

Hermanita took me to get an authentic torta - a hot Mexican sandwich at hole in the wall restaurant El Atoron. We were the only gringas in the place. Ranchera blared and I ordered the torta Cubana. Ay dios Mio! Que Rico! Huge sandwich stacked with hot dogs, pork foot, and all sorts of delicious mexicanness that brought me to my knees and made me praise La Virgincita. YUM YUM YUM.

Sweets of Singapore: Praise the God of Sugar!
